Today I have some resources to help you plan your book step-by-step. Here’s four links with tips and tricks to kick start your work week.
After taking the time and dedication of writing a book you want to ensure that all of the pieces of the puzzle are in place before the actual work begins. Thankfully there are some great tools to help you generate an outline you can update and follow. Take a look at these resources for authors, and let me know how they work for you!
1) Turbocharge your book planning – Plottr
Create an outline fast with built-in organization features. Plottr provides authors a way to arrange and re-arrange your work. Features include visual cards, filters through tags, color coordination, and vertical or horizontal views. The software will help you keep track of your subjects through easy references as well as automated outline generation.
2) Manage and organize your work – Trello
Do you want a simple way to quickly put your book together with visuals? Trello is similar to Pinterest in that it allows you to formulate your ideas with boards and lists, which is very useful when working with a team. Create deadlines, checklists, and even upload attachments. Move your book forward through automation and integration with apps such as Google Drive, Dropbox, and more.
3) Create notes, tasks and schedules – Evernote
Jot down your ideas the moment they arrive in your mind. Evernote allows authors to quickly and easily generate notes, create a to-do list, and more that can be synchronized from any device. Features include adding text, audio, images, and documents such as a PDF. Never get lost in where you left off with its powerful search capabilities.
4) Your personal digital notebook – Microsoft OneNote
Would you like an easier way to make notes of your outline on the go? Then you will want to check out Microsoft OneNote, which helps you to generate and organize your ideas all in one place. Divide them into sections and pages along with simple and straightforward navigation and search functions so that you can easily continue your work. Use their highlight and ink annotations to make revisions then share or collaborate with your team members.
Hopefully you will find these book outline tools beneficial for your writing. Are there any that you would like to add as well?
Have fun with these tips and tools.
