Today I have some security resources to help you improve the safety of your business online. Here’s four links with tips and tricks to kick start your work week.
Using the latest tools available to thwart cyber threats will help protect you from loss of income and identity theft. With so many outside sources trying to break in now is a good time to get started. Do you need to put more security measures in place? Use these reliable and trusted resources, and let me know how these work for you!
1) Avert massive data breaches – 1Password
It seems that every week there is a new data breach, and many of these are reported up to one year later by companies. 1Password works by helping you protect all of your passwords inside of your browser or apps. The software includes built-in, secure vaults for all of your accounts. Monitor and track down risks to your logins and stop breaches before they happen. Set up can be as simple as an addition to your browser or in a direct download.
2) Simple and effective login blocker – Google Authenticator
Stop using text for two-step verification. Google Authenticator, which is free in the Google Play store and on iOS, provides a secure way to approve online logins. Use this app to add the second layer with a code that disappears after around 20 seconds of view time.
Security in the cloud – RedSeal
Fix security holes across your business networks. RedSeal is a cloud security platform that provides insights and alerts that you can take action on right away. Their software can handle complex, hybrid networks as well as a full range of critical compliance and governance requirements. Their in-house experts handle the security issues for you so that you can focus on peace of mind and running your business.
4) Protect your WordPress website – BulletProof Security
Add stronger security with .htaccess WordPress security protection provided by BulletProof Security. The free plugin stops a hackers’ malicious scripts in its tracks, and monitors suspicious activity that might be occurring. Features include one-step setup, malware scanning, login security, login monitoring, and more.
Hopefully you will find these cyber security tools useful to protecting your business online. Are there any that you would like to add as well?
