When you become an author you have the potential to gain more brand visibility and influence online. This can be done in a variety of formats including audio, print, and eBook or digital. Would you like to get your name out there and gain an interested audience? Take advantage of these great resources, and let me know how these work for you!

1) Showcase multiple books – Amazon Author Central

This feature is like having your own mini website on Amazon where all of your work can be displayed. Author Central provides authors a platform to link their website, biography, and books all in one place. You can even connect this free service with your blog. Features include sales and trends tracking, help for questions and answers on book publishing, and more. Whether you are publishing your first book or continuing a series this is the best place to get seen by your brand audience.

2) Self publishing made simple – BookBaby

You’ve finished writing your book, and now you need to get it out into the public. But where do you start? BookBaby provides professional resources that are especially beneficial for first-time authors. Find out what it costs to self-publish, where to market your book, how to design your cover, and much more. Templates and a store are available to help you get started on your publishing journey without the high cost of hiring a professional agency. Their latest feature includes the creation of your own bookstore where readers can make a purchase.

3) Resources for marketing, writing and publishing – The Creative Penn

Get all of necessary skills that you need as a new author all from one website. The Creative Penn is a great resource where you can learn from a professional author on how to become successful. Gain insights on the blog, podcast or enroll in paid courses to dive deeper. Courses and tools are also made available for anyone who would like to become a successful published author.

4) Self publishing advice and networking – Alliance of Independent Authors

Would you like to learn from publishing professionals and connect with other authors? Alliance of Independent Authors offers advice and tools including an online conference and podcast. Build a network in the book publishing realm while learning from seasoned professionals. The website includes workshops, valuable free resources and a directory of service providers as well as an important self-publishing watchdog tool.

Hopefully you will find these tools helpful for your book writing, marketing and sales. Are there any that you would like to add as well?
