The days of seeing all of your Facebook friends’ posts could change with Facebook’s new filter scheduled for release in the next few weeks. You will then have the option to ‘pick and choose’ whose posts you want to receive.
In this change, Facebook will replace the “Hide All” button with “Unfollow” which will give you the ability to manage what shows up in your News Feeds.
Techcrunch was first on the scene to announce the new Unfollow button, which will allow Facebook users to block content without ‘defriending’ someone.  The concept is very similar to the current ‘hide all’ feature which is currently in place, only this change is an unfollow without alerting the person you have done so. 
Content alert!  – Make sure to provide information that your friends want to see or they might choose not to see it at all. If your posts are boring, your posts can now be removed and you won’t even know it!
“Facebook Unfollow Button Coming Soon”

Facebook’s new feature for both Profiles and Pages will allows administrators to show more relevant news in their feed. The goal of these recent changes is to “show the right content to the right people at the right time,” according to a recent announcement on Facebook.
Users are currently able to select ‘Hide all’ or ‘Unfollow’ by clicking the arrow in the top right hand corner of a post:

Coming soon will be an icon located next to a friend’s profile photo on Facebook, which will be completely discrete. Currently users can follow an individual without ‘friending’ them.
Stay tuned for the new Unfollow button to appear for all desktop Facebook users with a mobile version to appear in the next few months.
