Highlight Your Work With LinkedIn Projects
You’ve built a great LinkedIn professional profile, and now it’s time to show off your skills and expertise. While this may be easier to do on other social networks like Facebook, Google Plus, and Twitter, it’s not well-known on how to achieve this here.
The good news is that LinkedIn not only offers users a way to publish content, but also display professional projects and groups they are currently working on. The add a link feature can be used to create a Summary of Experience, which is added directly to your profile. Here’s how to get started, and invite others to your projects.
1. Edit your profile – Begin the process by editing your LinkedIn profile, just like you would for any other type of addition.
2. Go to the Projects section – Scroll down your profile to the Projects area, which you can choose to the top after adding the projects your are currently working on. Click the Add link to begin, and enter the title. For example, if you offer a course or service, you can showcase this here.
3. List the most important projects in order – Take into consideration what is the best service you want people to notice. You can choose a date range, or leave that area ongoing. A compelling description and link to your project will immediately direct people to your services or products.
This free feature is a great asset to your business or brand, and allows you to add team members who are working with you on your projects. An additional benefit is an increase of traffic to your website if your projects are listed there.
