Today I have some WordPress plugins to help you improve your website for better search results. Here’s four links with tips and tricks to kick start your work week.

Is it time to perform an audit and update your website? This is especially important in order to reach a growing mobile audience and to help combat security attacks. Use these great WordPress plugins, and let me know how they work for you!

1) Fix internal and external website linkes – Broken Link Checker

Broken website links can impact bounce rates and search rank. Your website might have a number of these that you might not be aware of, especially if you have a larger database. With the Broken Link Checker plugin you can check all of your data in about 15 minutes. The fixes are automatic, and results are displayed at the end.

2) Implement a backup plan – BackupBuddy

All websites are vulnerable to malware or some other security attack. That is why it is so important to perform a periodic backup of your entire site. BackupBuddy is one of the most reliable tools available that will help you save your hard work. This is also a great resource to use when planning on transferring your website to another host provider. Capture all of your data and images including comments, subscribers, users, categories, and more.

3) Clean up your entire website – WP-Sweep

Are your pages loading slowly lately? Then it may be time to remove extra data, delete comments, and get rid of any other old or unnecessary documents and images. The WP-Sweep plugin does the job very efficiently in just five minutes. This free plugin will even optimize your database tables. Clean up items such as revisions, auto drafts, deleted comments, duplicate data, and more.

4) Analytics from WordPress – MonsterInsights

Get insights on Google Analytics directly from your WordPress website. MonsterInsights helps you to set up universal tracking, enhance sales tracking, and improve your post and page stats just to name a few. Analytics are in real-time for eCommerce, content, user behavior, and more. The plugin includes the latest methods used for the upcoming G4 rollout.
