Why Customers Love Over Promise And Over Deliver

Adding Value For Your Customers

1If you have been running a business online for any amount of time, you probably have heard the old adage that you should always under promise and overdeliver. But what does this mean, really? And how can you begin practicing this in your particular business? The great news here is that the Internet provides simple options to under promise and overdeliver, making it much easier to implement than in a brick-and-mortar business.

Start By Adding Value to Your Offer

thumbsupYour customers will absolutely love you when you create value in their lives. For instance, if you are selling electronic products, your entire investment was tied up in the creation of that product just one time. When you deliver it to your customer, it is simply bits and bytes of data you have already paid for.
Why not take a look at your offer, product or service, and keep the price the same while adding 20% or 30% in value? Add a bonus report. Record some short videos showing how to use your product. This creates immediate value for your customer when you point out the free bonus service or product they are getting.

Let the Internet Help You Overdeliver

You should be building a list of contacts if you have an online presence of any kind. If you are not building an e-mail list, you simply have a website, and not an Internet business. It is very inexpensive to sign up with an autoresponder service. These companies will send out e-mails 24/7, any time night or day to your e-mail list. You write a series of e-mails, load them into your autoresponder, and they go out on whatever schedule you dictate.
And one outstanding way to under promise and overdeliver is to create a bonus e-book, report or white paper that hits your customer right where he lives. Create a valuable resource that solves a big problem in your customer’s life, and have it delivered through your autoresponder as an unadvertised bonus after a purchase is made.
When overdelivery is unexpected, it carries more perceived value. Your customer was happy with the purchase they made at the price offered, and here, out of the blue, you deliver even more value. That is a great way to get your customer to absolutely fall in love with you and your company.
Now it is time to learn how to use education to build your brand as an authority figure in your niche or market.
